Hi there,
It is unlikely that you are experiencing early
pregnancy symptoms, since from my calculation it has only been 6 days since your episode of unprotected sex. This will be true only if you haven't had any other unprotected sexual encounters in the past cycle, and it also doesn't mean that you won't get pregnant.
At this point, the delayed periods is probably due to you being stressed up and tired with your work. The bad news is, this will prolong your cycle, and shift your fertile period. Normally, if your cycles are regular, the day before your periods is a relatively less fertile day, which would make you much less likely to get pregnant. Now that your periods are delayed, you might have had sex on a fertile day, increasing your risk tremendously.
The emergency
contraception is meant to be taken within 72 hours of the unprotected sex, and work best if taken as soon as possible. You took it way too late to be of much benefit, and I would completely discount any action from it.
Wait another 2-3 weeks, and if the periods still don't come, do the urine pregnancy test. It is too early for it to show now.
Hope this helps, and all the best to you.
Regards,
Dr. Teh
